Spring Cleaning (16 May 2026)

Join us at the Museum and Barn as we ready the buildings for summer visitors!

The Museum is in pretty good shape. We will perform a light housecleaning, unpack artifacts and other items stowed for winter, and neaten the displays. The barn isn't as well sealed and needs a more thorough cleaning.

We'll have cleaning equipment and supplies. More hands makes for lighter work!

Falmouth Elementary Field Trip (01 Jun 2026)

Four busloads of elementary school students will visit the Falmouth Heritage Museum and Barn where they will learn what life was like for young people of Falmouth 150 years ago.

The Museum will be closed to the public from Monday, June 1st, through Friday, June 5th.

If you have questions, your town's squad of history detectives has answers (or knows where to find them!). Items from the bookstore will also be available to purchase.

This includes:

June 9th (Check the FHS table outside the polls at Falmouth High School)
September 29th (Check the FHS table in the Exhibition Hall at the Cumberland Fair)

The Museum is also open by appointment.

2026 Annual Meeting

This year's Annual Meeting will be held in late October.

In-person in the Council Chambers at Falmouth Town Hall, and
Online via Zoom Meeting (the link will be published the day of the meeting).

The date will be updated when the town has confirmed that Council Chambers are available.

A brief business meeting required by our bylaws.
A look back at last year’s accomplishments (and we've been doing a lot!).
Short presentations on Falmouth history.

Please join us! This event is free and open to the public. You need not be a member to attend.

Very Merry Falmouth—Merry Mix & Mingle

Join us at this town event for a family-friendly, open air, community party in the American Legion parking lot. There will be popcorn, gourmet hot chocolate, kids activities, good cheer with your neighbors, and more.

Your town historical society will have a table where our volunteers can answer questions about our town's history. We will also have selected merchandise from our bookstore including:

New Coloring Book
